WELCOME TO THE ANGEL FUND

Help Us Find A Cure for ALS!

The Angel Fund for ALS Research (Angel Fund, Inc.) is an independent nonprofit organization (EIN 04-3478977) dedicated to advancing ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) research at Mass General Brigham and UMass Chan Medical School. Our researchers are internationally recognized for their groundbreaking work toward understanding ALS and developing effective treatments.

We proudly call our researchers, supporters, and everyone who shares our mission “Angels Over Boston.” Together, we are committed to turning research into treatment, and hope into reality.

The Angel Fund advances its mission through fundraising events and campaigns, private and corporate donations, community partnerships, and public awareness efforts. Every effort is focused on one goal: accelerating the search for effective treatments and a cure for ALS.

The Angel Fund was founded in 1987 by our original Angel, Ginny DelVecchio, who was living with ALS. Ginny understood the devastating impact of the disease firsthand—both her mother and her brother had died from ALS. Despite facing ALS herself, Ginny devoted her life to raising awareness and funding research. She continued her work until the disease eventually took away her ability to do so. Ginny passed away from ALS in August 1998.

Today, Ginny’s family continues to carry her torch. Her cousins, the Nigro family and the Kennedy family, remain dedicated to her vision: finding a treatment and cure for ALS.

Over the years, The Angel Fund has grown through the extraordinary generosity and commitment of a community united by a common purpose. Many of our supporters have been personally touched by ALS, and together they bring determination, compassion, and hope to the fight.

We are Angels Over Boston—and we will not stop until research leads to treatment and hope becomes reality.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

A MESSAGE OF HOPE

Dear Friends,

Thank you for standing with The Angel Fund for ALS Research. Every donation, every event, every mile walked, and every person who shares our mission helps us move closer to a day when ALS is no longer a devastating diagnosis.

For those of us who have seen ALS up close, we know how urgently that day is needed.

Your support gives hope to families facing ALS and, more importantly, helps make progress possible. Funding research is the key to turning discoveries into treatments.

Your generosity allows us to stand behind our researchers and help give them the resources they need to keep moving forward. We may not know exactly when the breakthrough will come, but we know that we cannot stop searching for it.

We work tirelessly to support researchers who are searching for answers and developing new ways to fight ALS. We believe strongly that ALS is NOT untreatable — it is underfunded.

With your help, we can continue moving research to treatment and hope to reality.

Thank you for believing in our mission, supporting our researchers, and helping us Step Up to Cure ALS.

With gratitude,

Rich Kennedy
President
