“4,288,416…. That’s approximately how many feet Rich “Ratt” Kennedy has covered on The Boston Marathon course over 31 years. As the president of The Angel Fund for ALS research, Ratt has worked relentlessly to raise money and awareness to cure the disease that took both his father and his brother. Unfortunately, while training for his 32nd Boston Marathon Ratt knew something was wrong and his greatest fears were confirmed when he was diagnosed with ALS himself. As Ratt undergoes treatment, he has been unable to partake in the racing events that have defined him for so long, but beating the disease and running his 32nd Boston Marathon still remains his goal. Ratt’s absence on race courses has been felt by all who he has inspired throughout the years, so our aim is to run and raise money in his honor until he is able to participate once again. At a handful of events throughout the year, The Ratt Racers will collectively run and raise money for “The Angel Fund” so that we can finally see an end to this horrific disease. We are a collective of anything from marathoners, to power walkers to spectators all sharing the same goal of eradicating ALS. No matter your ability if you share our same goal then we want you! Come run/walk/cheer us on as we sprint towards a cure! Want to join? Simple! Check the upcoming race schedule and contact us so we can get you set up with fundraising information and racing gear! Want to bring the Ratt Racers to an event near you? Let us know, we’re always looking for more people and more events!” To join the Club, EMAIL Coordinator Russell Becker russellhmbecker@gmail.com You can fundraise for you event by CLICKING HERE.
