The 19th Annual Sharon Timlin Memorial Event: A Race to Cure ALS           (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) will be held as both an in-person and virtual event for runners of all ages on Saturday, June 18th at Hopkinton High School.


The popular road race and family fun day benefits The Angel Fund for ALS Research and its research at the Cecil B. Day Laboratory for Neuromuscular Research at UMass Chan Medical School. The race has raised more than $2 million for ALS research since its inception.


Join us as we Step Up to Cure ALS with a 5k race, kids run, and family fun day that truly has something for everyone. Net proceeds benefit The Angel Fund for ALS Research. To date, we have raised over $2 million for critical research at the Cecil B. Day Laboratory for Neuromuscular Research at UMASS Chan Medical School.

Race Details

  • Race Date: Saturday, June 18, 2022, rain or shine
  • 5K: 8:30am start
  • Kids Color Run: 10:00am start
  • Family Fun Day: 8:30am-12:00pm
  • Awards Ceremony: 11:00am

Registration Information

  • Online registration opens on Tuesday, March 8th at 12:00pm EST and closes when we reach capacity or at 11:59pm June 17, 2022.
  • 5K is limited to 1,800 registrants and usually sells out (We do not expect to have same-day registration).
  • 5K race fee is $40 through May 18, 2022 and increases to $45 on May 19, 2022.
  • Virtual Option is $25, plus shipping.
